This year we let the boys sign up for one team sport. Tanner really wanted to play t-ball again. We tried to talk him into soccer since he loves to run so much, but I guess he felt some nostalgia for the time he played t-ball before. The weekend before the season started we got a call pleading for one of us to coach the team. Apparently they're a little hard pressed to find coaches. Brian ended up coaching Tanner's team, which Tanner loved. Because of his birthday, Tanner still played in the 3-4 year old age bracket. Honestly, these kids don't grasp many of the rules of the game and you're lucky to get them running around the bases in the right direction.
Since Tanner is one of the older boys and has played before he did pretty well. He loved batting, running the bases, and digging in the dirt when his team was supposed to be fielding the ball.

Fall is a much nicer time to play baseball than springtime. We had beautiful weather for almost the whole season.
Tanner was content to use the tee to hit off the ball. Some kids liked to be pitched too, but Tanner did a great job using the tee.

His team was the Boston Red
Sox and I thought Brian did a great job with the kids. There are no winners or losers because everyone gets to bat and run the bases. Hopefully it helps the kids develop a love (and possibly some understanding) of the game.
