After being in school since the end of July, Ethan had three weeks off during the month of September. I LOVED having him home for those weeks. It was nice not to have to drive him to school each day, lovely not to have to pack school lunches, and incredibly wonderful to have Ethan around the house during the day again. Tanner misses Ethan terribly while he's at school and counts the hours until he comes home, so he really enjoyed Ethan's break as well.
We were able to do a few fun things during Ethan's break. Most of the time the weather was spectacular and it was fun to go places while most of the other kids were in school.
One day we used a great coupon to go to Incredible Pizza in Draper. For $10 a person we were able to enjoy all the activities we wanted and their buffet. We ended up taking advantage of the buffet twice since we arrived at 11 a.m. and didn't leave until after 5 p.m.! Needless to say this place was a hit with my boys. They found a new love - laser tag. I played a couple of games with them and it was pretty hilarious to watch them gear up and then go on the attack. Ethan and Tanner played this for hours.
At dinner time we ate in on of their dining rooms that played old TV shows like "I Love Lucy" and "Gilligan's Island." The boys liked that room better than the gym where they were showing cartoons.
Incredible Pizza also has go-karts, but we didn't try them out since they looked a little rough and I'm pregnant and not a good candidate for accidental collisions right now.
Bradon's favorite activity was the mini-bowling. He played this for hours. In fact, he played this so long that by the end of the day he could hardly stand up anymore and fell asleep almost the minute I strapped him into his car seat. This boy loves a good game of bowling.
They also have glow in the dark mini-golf. It was funny watching Bradon try to figure out how to get the club to hit the ball in the direction he wanted it to go. Most of the time he would just set the ball down close to the hole and tap it in.
My mom, Jenny and her boys came as well, but didn't last until 5 p.m. Jenny's boys still nap so the good sense to take them home at about 2:30 for a snooze. We learned that if you have children under the age of 3 you shouldn't buy them a pass since they can't do most of the activities anyway, just have them use your card. The buffet is also free for kids under 3.
Ethan and Tanner really enjoyed the bumper cars, but they both agreed that it wasn't as much fun once Riser went home. They said it was much more fun with three people than it was with two.

Incredible Pizza was definitely a hit with my boys. Tanner actually chose to go back there for his birthday activity. We also bought passes on a discount website when they were on sale one day so that we can return again during Ethan's December break.

It was a little more pricey than I had remembered it being, but I did have a coupon, so never fear! Usually the sharks and rays are the biggest attraction, but this time we were able to observe the jelly fish being fed and the new penguin exhibit was a big hit. We watched the penguins swim and play for a really long time.
We also had a park-a-palooza day where we packed a lunch and hit several neighborhood parks. We started at the park nearest to our house and then went to two other parks before lunch. The boys really enjoyed that day and the weather was pleasantly perfect.
Ethan and Tanner also spent a lot of time listening to the Harry Potter books on CD. They raced through books three and four during his break. The three weeks of vacation went by way too fast! Only six more weeks until his next break!

Incredible Pizza looks like it's a lot more fun than Chuck E Cheese. I wish I could have gone with you guys.
