New Years Eve 2010. Welcome 2011!

We had a low-key, but fun New Years Eve this year. My mom and dad invited us a couple of weeks before the big night over to their house to celebrate the evening. We had a small group this year including our family, my mom and dad and Chris and Susie. We had a lot of fun playing a lot of games during the course of the evening, but we didn't have enough time to play as many as we would have liked. We also had a lot of great snacking food including scripture dip (known to the rest of the world as spinach dip), a great BBQ chicken dip, and apples to dip in a yummy pumpkin dip. We also had pizza and an assortment of beverages. What a spread! None of us left hungry.

This year Ethan was determined that we stay up until midnight. I guess that's a part of getting older. Lucky for us Bradon had taken a nap in the day so he did surprisingly well staying up until midnight. As the hour drew nigh we made the kids get in their pajamas and they played Twister with grandpa.

Bradon didn't quite catch on to the idea, but he liked playing with the boys.

Then Uncle Chris started a Twister challenge where the boys tried unsuccessfully to trip him up by going increasingly faster, but he's pretty good on his feet (and hands).
The next thing we knew it had turned into an all out Twister war where Ethan, Tanner and Bradon were trying to tackle Chris in an attempt to bring him down.They showed him no mercy and fortunately this didn't end in tears.

We finished the evening with a little Martinelli's sparkling cider to toast the New Year. Here's to a very happy 2011!
