This year we celebrated Lille Jul Aften (Little Christmas Eve) on the 23rd. Ethan was so excited to give us a gift that he had acquired for us (thanks Mom) that he wanted us to open it that night. He gave us a nice vegetable peeler. He was very pleased with himself.
We opened a family gift that night to keep the boys busy on Christmas Eve the next day.
We got two new Wii remotes so that four of us can play at a time now and some Wii games that we had picked up for super cheap. The boys were delighted and we've had a lot of fun with the new games.
On Christmas Eve the boys opened gifts that they had chosen for each other. Ethan bought Bradon a table-top bowling knights game since Bradon loves bowling so much. Tanner bought Ethan a game called Enuk the Eskimo and Bradon (with some help from mom) got Tanner a game called Jungle Jive. We were able to play all the games that day and had a lot of fun.
We love games at our house and they really get a lot of use.
Bradon was eager to try out his bowling game and luckily we have lots of hard surfaces in our house where he can practice. 
That evening it was time to head to my parent's house for our family Christmas Eve party. We alternate every year where we spend Christmas Eve and this year it was my family's turn. We got a rare family picture in front of my parent's Disney themed Christmas tree.

For some reason Susie didn't want a picture by herself in front of the tree since Chris was working.The kids tried so hard to be patient while we ate dinner. I happen to think that my mom is a great cook so Christmas dinner was delicious as usual. The kids were so anxious for the present opening to begin!
First all the boys opened their pajamas and they all changed into their matching pj's (Chase's jammies didn't match since he's the only one in baby sizes still, but he looked adorable).
And all of the boys lined up for a photo opportunity. Those are some handsome fellas.
It's hard to get them all to look at the camera and smile at the same time, but we did our best.
Everyone got some great stuff. Kayson and Riser got the Fisher Price Batcave with all kinds of cool accessories. 
Tanner got a Fisher Price aircraft carrier that has been a big hit at our house.
Ethan got a great dinosaur puzzle that he's completed several times since that night and a Little Librarian kit that he uses to manage his library which is located under our main floor stairs. We all have library cards and he finds books for us and charges fines and everything. Brian has already lost a book and owes Ethan's library some serious money for this transgression.
Little Chase got some balls that were a hit with him, Bradon and Kayson.
Bradon got a toy laptop which he refused to even look at that evening. He has played with it since then, but he's kind of a technology snob and would prefer a real laptop where he can properly surf the web. He also got a Wii game that he has really enjoyed.
Chris and Susie gave the boys some small gifts as well. The dinosaur fossil kits have been a big hit and they're still a work in progress.
We gave my mom and dad some books. My dad got "Unbroken" which I'm dying to read (it's on my Kindle but I'm saving it for when the baby is born), and my mom got a hardcover edition of "To Kill a Mockingbird" which is one of her very favorite books.

The best part of Christmas is spending so much time with family and that night was a lot of fun. This year we missed having Jeff, Rachel, Anna and Isaac with us. We miss them so much now that they're in Wichita and they're not just a day's drive away. Thank you mom and dad for a wonderful Christmas Eve.
