Labor Day Picnic in Millcreek Canyon

Thanks to Jenny and Karl we were able to do one of my favorite things. . . have breakfast in the canyon. They cooked a dutch oven breakfast for us, and we had pancakes, fruit and juices as well. Yummy food and the company was great.

Uncle Chris got the boys interested in building a dam in the river. Actually, Chris did the building and the boys did the encouraging and directing. Tanner did try getting in the water on two occasions, but then would cry out "Cold! Cold!" as if someone had made him get in. Neither of the boys wanted to leave after the picnic ended. I think they could have thrown rocks in the river all day. They were both filthy by the time we left, but we had a good time
We had a nice relaxing afternoon at home and then Brian's dad treated us to a dutch oven dinner of ribs, sausage, potatoes and peach cobbler. Wow! I think we need to start using our dutch ovens more.
