Booster Night at the Hogle Zoo

This year we purchased a zoo membership and we choose to purchase the Booster level membership.  I like this level because you can take two guests each time you go, you get a free punch card for the train/carousel and you get invited to Zoo Booster nights.  These nights always have lots of fun activities and very low crowds.  Plus I love the evening temperatures in the summer.

This year the first thing we did was head towards the face painting area.  Ethan and Tanner chose to be transformed into pirates since it was a pirate themed evening.
The face painters work fast and did a terrific job.

Both of the boys were pleased with the results.

Next up was a ride on the carousel.  Uncle Sam and Aunt Sarah came along with us this night and they took the kids for a spin.

We saw rats being fed to crocodiles (yuck) and explored some other exhibits.  We also stopped for some pictures by the dinosaurs.

The kids are getting bigger, but fortunately no one has ape sized arms.

Sarah wanted to stop for a horse ride, but these "horses" just weren't very animated.

Anders came too, but as usual he took a little nap.

And before we left it was time for a quick train ride.

We enjoyed a beautiful summer evening and we were so glad we could share it with Sarah and Sam.  It's so fun to have aunts and uncles living close and our boys just love them.
